Netflix Now Available For The LG Optimus V And The Motorola Triumph On The Android Market

Do a Little Dance – Netflix Is Finally Here!

I’m surprised this day has not come sooner, but as of September 9th, Netflix now supports ALL Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices.

This means that our beloved LG Optimus V and our Motorola Triumphs can now access Netflix ‘all legit like’.

If you have a LG Optimus V, remember this thing take quite a bit of space and you might have to clear out some room. You Motorola Triumph folks probably do not have to worrry about that — yeah yeah yeah ;) .

Netflix On LG Optimus V and Motorola Triumph Gets Updated from XDA

Our posts on how to get Netflix on the LG Optimus V and on the Motorola Triumph are the most popular posts on this blog.

The guys over at XDA have updated their tested APK to Netflix’s most recent release this last week. Initial reports and experience is that it works smoother, gets rid of the “green line” for many, and is much more stable.  Get the Stable Version Here: Netflix APK.

Download Netflix for the Motorola Triumph

UPDATED – Check out the updated Netflix for LG Optimus V & Motorola Triumph Post

You have probably noticed that the Motorola Triumph is still not ‘compatible’ with Netflix, but we all know better.

The APK that has worked for the LG Optimus V also works for the Motorola Triumph – I have zero green line too, which means it works even better!

Get the APK!

XDA Developers forum posted an update on the Netflix APK , and you can grab the Netflix app that will work with your Motorola Triumph by clicking this link:

Please leave a comment and let us all know how this works for you and have a blast!

I also encourage you to follow the thread at XDA to keep up with any updates until Netflix finally decides that more devices can ‘handle’ it —whatever…

Enjoy Netflix on the Motorola Triumph!

Make sure you pick up SWYPE as well!

Netflix Will Now Work On LG Optimus V Without Root

UPDATED – Check out the updated Netflix for LG Optimus V & Motorola Triumph Post

Breaking news folks!!

Netflix removed from its latest update the part of its app that checks for a ‘compatible device’ and since it does not require flash to work (go Netflix!), LG Optimus V users can install and watch Netflix even over 3G. I just did it myself! I am so freak’n giddy right now, I cannot even tell you! I’m sure you are too!

Netflix Update – Will Stream to LG Optimus V with Jerry-Rigging and Root

This is in no way an endorsement of rooting your LG Optimus V, but if you do have root permissions and are lusting after the new Netflix app for Android, the people at Android Forums and XDA figured out how to make it work.

If you have an interst in making Netflix work on the LG Optimus V and are willing to void your warrenty, etc., the by all means, check in with these folks.

Apparently, there is no flash required to run Netflix. This really makes me excited that the only thing really holding this phone back from being supported is a few lines of code. There may be a future for the Optimus V and Netflix!
