Songbird’s Free Android Media Player App Keeps Rock’n

I don’t know about you, but the cute short black birdie with the DJ headphones makes me smile every time.

I am excited that there is a new Android app, which you can get from Songbird or the Android Marketplace.

Songbird has had a desktop client for a some years now that made listening to music on the internet an easier feat.

It was made to look a bit like Itunes and Firefox – sort of like the kid they would have.

As a result, we have this really cute black bird and a super sweet media player.

Right now, it is simple, sleek, and sexy.

Oh, and its completely free!

I’m excited to see where this app goes in the future. I hope to see more music browser functionality like its desktop version in the future.

That will make Android’s songbird truly stand out among the rest of the media players on the market.

Maybe Songbird’s attempt to make a stellar Linux media player that has since been discontinued laid the foundation for this very promising Android app.

What are you waiting for? Check it out!

Pulse – Your Interactive News Experience Reloaded

Pulse is my favorite news reader. Period.

When I first tried this app several months ago, it was “eh”. It stuck around on my phone maybe a day before I uninstalled it. However, I tried this app again about a week ago, and the improvements to the user interface and the intuitive approach this app has taken is amazing!

Netflix Now Available For The LG Optimus V And The Motorola Triumph On The Android Market

Do a Little Dance – Netflix Is Finally Here!

I’m surprised this day has not come sooner, but as of September 9th, Netflix now supports ALL Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices.

This means that our beloved LG Optimus V and our Motorola Triumphs can now access Netflix ‘all legit like’.

If you have a LG Optimus V, remember this thing take quite a bit of space and you might have to clear out some room. You Motorola Triumph folks probably do not have to worrry about that — yeah yeah yeah ;) .

Protect Your Motorola Triumph With the Best Antivirus Apps!

Antivirus apps are old hat to all Window’s PC users, are a bit new to Mac users, and virtually unheard of for Linux users (which is the granddaddy of Android). What is a virus you ask? It is the broad term we use to define any sort of malicious app or download you could pick up.

My theory is “better safe than sorry”!

What should you look for in a good Android antivirus for your LG Optimus V ? Look for an app that is well established (aka, been around a long time), has a good security reputation, and runs automatically.

Top 5 Apps for Blogging With Your LG Optimus V or Motorola Triumph

Why Blog And What The Heck Is A Blog Anyway?

Blog Bubble IconBlogging is not just for the website developer, the writer, or the business minded.

Blogging can be like scrapbooking.

Many people use Facebook, MySpace, and Google+ to keep track of their friends, pictures, videos, and special moments, but many find it fun to step outside the social networks to the blog-o-spere for a more topic centered or scrap book-ee effect.

Now, if you are in the category of website developer, writer, or business minded entrepreneur, then you absolutely NEED a blog. That is not even a question. Social networks will not cut it on their own.

Like I said, a blog may be a reflection of your life and mirror the themes of your life on social networks like Facebook, or a blog may be topic based. Topics can be anything. Think of the top three things you LOVE to do – These are possible themes or sections of your future blog.

In most cases, blogging is free. There is no reason you should be pay to blog, especially if you are just starting out. All of the apps I will review here will be free as will their web based parents.
